Lollapalooza 2024 - Day 1

On Aug 1, the annual Lollapalooza festival kicks-off in Chicago, Ill. in Grant Park. 

The day was headlined by artist, Hozier at the Bud Light stage, and saw a record-breaking attendance during Chappell Roan’s afternoon set at the T-Mobile stage.


Blondshell



Thre first day of the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago saw alternative-indie artist Blondshell start off the festival at the Bacardí stage around noon. 


Riovaz



After Blondshell’s set at the Bacardí stage, rapper Riovaz takes to the stage around 2:50 p.m.



Tyla



At 3:15 p.m., Tyla begins her set at the T-Mobile stage. The stage saw a giant inflatable tiger present and backup dancers performing alongside the pop-amapiano artist.


Chappell Roan



Starting at 5:00 p.m., pop-artist Chappell Roan takes to the ring at the T-Mobile stage. Dressed as a wrestler, Chappell Roan brought a hard-hitting performance to Chicago. Her concert drew in the largest recorded audience at Lollapalooza. 


Labrinth



On top of a brutalist stage set, Labrinth performs at the T-Mobile stage from 7:00 p.m till 8:00 p.m. Though the crowd was not as active as previous sets, the rapper and singer-songwriter put on an enjoyable set, including tracks from the hit series Euphoria. 


Hozier



Headliner Hozier ends off the first night of Lollapalooza with a concert at the Bud Light stage at 8:30 p.m. 
Hozier perfromed a new track “Nobody’s Soldier” off of his upcoming album Unreal Unearth. 
The folk musician took a moment to address the conflict in Palestine during his set, calling for peace and avocation.
